JUNE IS ADOPT A CAT MONTH!

WE HAVE A NEW WEBSITE!

The Dunn County Humane Society is happy to launch our very own website, dunncounthumanesociety.org. The new site includes information on the history of the organization, exciting happenings, adoptable animals, and much more. Add it to your favorites, so you can visit often!

DOG WASHES and MICROCHIPS

The Humane Society will be scheduling dog washes on the first and third Sundays of each month. If you would like to have your dog washed or their nails trimmed, please call the shelter to schedule an appointment.

Microchippnig services are available during regular business hours. Stop by and have a lifesaving microchip implanted into your pet for the low cost of $20. This grain-sized chip could help your animal get home safely if he is ever lost.

SEARCH AND SAVE

The shelter is now making use of GoodSearch.com to help our animals, and we are asking people to use GoodSearch.com to search the Internet. Every time you do, money goes to Dunn County Humane Society. All you have to do is designate the Dunn County Humane Society as the charity you would like to support, and then surf the net like you would with any other search engine.

The site is powered by Yahoo, so you'll get the same quality search results that you're used to. What's unique is that they have developed a way to direct money to the Dunn County Humane Society with every click.

The more people who use this site, the more money that will go to the animals in need. So please spread the word to your friends and family.

GoodSearch: You Search...We Give!

WE NEED YOUR HELP.

Can you give just a few hours a month? Volunteer opportunities are available for adults and children.

Dog and Cat Socialization and Exercise
This involves walking and playing with the dogs to keep them comfortable with human interaction and increase their adoptability. It also involves playing with the cats and kittens.

Office Support and Shelter Maintenance
Volunteers are needed to assist with general office duties such as answering phones, making copies and assisting the public at the shelter. Improvements always need to be made to the building.

Special Events and Fundraising
Some of the special events include the Walk for Paws, dog washes, thrift sale, grant writing and extra-added events. Community awareness and advertising are needed both for the shelter and special events.

Foster Care Program
Volunteers are needed to care for animals in their homes. Special needs animals may need extra attention. Also when the shelter is full temporary placement may be needed.

Membership Opportunities
Membership helps provide the shelter with much needed funds. Daily animal expenses, staffing, veterinary care, supplies and building repairs are some of the many expenses. Not only do members get the satisfaction of knowing that they are helping animals in need, but members also receive the quarterly newsletter.

Membership rates are:
Senior/Student $10
Individual $20
Family $30
Sustainer $100
